Product Description
Mantis Ergonomic Stereo Microscope is an award-winning microscope designed for exceptional operator comfort and superior 3D imaging. Its innovative eyepiece-less design provides a stress-free viewing experience, allowing you to see more and achieve more than conventional binocular microscopes.
See every detail, even with demanding subjects, thanks to a large, high-resolution, high-contrast optical stereo image. Whether using the eyepiece-less viewer or a separate monitor, the Mantis microscope delivers the superior image quality needed for precise and efficient inspection tasks.
The Dynamic View Optics (DVO) feature provides a unique stereo view that changes as you move your head, letting you see the sides as well as the top of a subject. This delivers a greater level of information and understanding, enhancing analysis for research, electronics, and precision inspection.
The range of optical lenses ensures the highest image quality, combining premium optical glass with special coatings for high-resolution, high-contrast views. For the most demanding subjects, Super Long Working Distance (SLWD) objective lenses are available, providing flexibility and precision in every application.
Maximum Eye Comfort is achieved through Mantis’ extended pupil eyepiece-less technology. The distance from the system to your eyes allows access to ambient light, reducing iris activity and eye strain. A common focus distance minimizes refocusing effort, and users can wear corrective or protective eyewear without any loss of performance. The greater separation from the system also reduces the risk of cross-contamination and eye infection, making it safer to share the microscope between multiple operators.
Postural Comfort is enhanced by projecting the image at a comfortable viewing angle with a neutral neck position. The eyepiece-less design allows natural head and body movement, eliminating the need to lean uncomfortably over constraining eyepieces. Operators can work longer with reduced fatigue and strain, improving productivity and overall ergonomic safety.
Hand-Eye Coordination is improved by the distinctive stereo view of Mantis, which provides both a direct view of the subject and peripheral vision. This enhanced perspective helps operators understand the shape and form of the sample and the position of their tools. Sample manipulation can be performed with higher accuracy and confidence, improving precision and efficiency in delicate inspection or assembly tasks.
Dynamic 3D Illumination allows precise control of lighting to enhance the understanding of 3D subjects. Two banks of LEDs can be synchronized or controlled independently to add shadow detail, improve depth perception, and prevent unwanted reflections that could hide subject detail.
Sub-Stage, Transmitted, Diascopic Illumination enables effective lighting of transparent, translucent, or perforated subjects from below. The Mantis Stabila stand includes a built-in sub-stage illuminator, providing a reliable solution for transmitted lighting needs and improving visualization of delicate or complex samples.
Incident, Episcopic Illumination allows precise lighting from above for subjects in blind holes, bores, or tightly packed components. The episcopic illuminator delivers light along the optical path, enabling clear inspection of areas that are otherwise difficult to view, making Mantis ideal for complex industrial or precision inspection tasks.
Combined White / UV Illumination enables rapid switching between white and UV light at the push of a button. This feature allows fast inspection of coatings and fluorescing agents, enabling operators to view surface coatings and underlying structures quickly and efficiently, enhancing productivity and inspection accuracy.
Contrast-Enhancing, Pseudo Dark-Field Illumination is ideal for low-contrast subjects such as plastics, glass, biological specimens, and other transparent or translucent samples. The optional contrast-enhancing base improves visualization, making subtle details stand out for more accurate inspection and analysis.
