The AVI Avina Bubble CPAP Unit from AVI Healthcare is a non-invasive ventilation solution designed for neonates with infant respiratory distress syndrome (IRDS). It maintains airway patency and lung volume during expiration by using mild, continuous air pressure. The expiratory circuit’s distal end is immersed in water, allowing gas to bubble out and prevent excessive pressure buildup, ensuring safe and gentle respiratory support for newborns.

The unit also features High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) mode, ideal for spontaneously breathing hypoxic infants showing cyanosis or oxygen deficiency due to conditions like anemia. In HFNC mode, blended and humidified oxygen is delivered via short nasal prongs or a nasal mask, helping maintain adequate oxygen saturation and improving blood oxygen levels safely and effectively.
