Product Description
Height Adjustment (Critical Function)
This is the most important feature for integration with the Theo 2 lift.
-
Purpose: The bed can be raised or lowered electronically to an exact, optimal height for the Theo 2 lift to engage with the patient.
-
Benefit: This ensures a smooth, horizontal transfer of the patient from the bed to the lift sling (and vice versa), eliminating dangerous and strenuous manual lifts. It allows for a "floatation transfer" where the patient is moved with minimal friction.
2. Backrest (Fowler) Adjustment
-
Purpose: Electrically raises the patient's head and back to a sitting position.
-
Benefit: Aids in patient comfort, breathing, eating, and interaction. It also prepares the patient for a safe and easy transfer into the Theo 2 sling.
3. Knee Break (Fowler/Trendelenburg Combination)
-
Purpose: Adjusts the angle of the knee section of the bed.
-
Benefit: Increases patient comfort when in a seated position and helps prevent the patient from sliding down in the bed.
4. Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg
-
Trendelenburg: Tilts the entire bed so the patient's head is lower than their feet.
-
Reverse Trendelenburg: Tilts the bed so the patient's head is higher than their feet.
-
Benefit: Used for specific medical procedures, improving circulation (shock management), or for patient positioning and comfort.
5. CPR Function (Emergency Release)
-
Purpose: With a single button, the bed instantly flattens to a horizontal position, regardless of its previous configuration.
-
Benefit: Provides immediate access to the patient for life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
6. Integrated Scale Function
-
Purpose: Many of these specialized beds have built-in scales.
-
Benefit: Allows for easy and accurate weighing of a patient without the need for a separate scale transfer, which is especially useful for immobile patients. The weight data can often be transmitted directly to the patient's electronic records.
